Etsy listing generator: title, 13 tags and description from one photo
Upload a product photo, or paste the link of a listing you already have. Growtsy reads Etsy’s live search for that product — up to 100 active listings — and writes two titles, 13 tags and a description, plus one decision: publish, improve the copy, or fix the photo first.
What it writes
Everything you paste into Etsy’s listing form, written against what is selling under the same search today.
Two titles
An A and a B version, each aimed at 50–70 characters and under 15 words, with the item named first. Etsy’s guidance: “Consider using less than 15 words when including the traits that make your item special.” A title that breaks the rule is sent back for a rewrite before you see it.
13 tags
All 13 slots, each 20 characters or fewer — Etsy: “You can use up to 13 tags per listing” and “Each tag can contain up to 20 characters.” Gift and occasion phrases go here, not in the title.
A description
A product description of roughly 180–220 words that says what the item is, what it is made of and who it is for. If you’ve saved a shop template (shipping, care, policies), it is added once, word for word.
One decision
Publish, improve the copy, reprice, or fix the photo first. If the photo itself is the problem — blur, cut-off product — it says reshoot. If the shot is clean but the scene is weak, Photo Studio can put the same product in a better scene.
What it reads from Etsy — and what it doesn’t
Reads
The active listings Etsy’s search returns for your product: their titles, tags, favourites and prices. Prices are only summarised from listings priced in US dollars; other currencies are counted, not converted. If the new title or description repeats too many four-word phrases from those titles, they are rewritten.
Doesn’t pretend to read
Search volume and per-listing sales. Etsy doesn’t publish how many units a single listing sells, and its API has no search counts (Etsy shows those only to each seller in Shop Manager) — so Growtsy shows neither.
AI-made items
Etsy’s rule: “Sellers must disclose within their listing description if an item is created with the use of AI.” Tick “Made with AI tools” and the description carries that disclosure in Etsy’s wording.
What the free demo returns
The example on the home page: a seller’s phone photo of a crochet tote on grass. The demo shows 5 of the 13 tags; the full analysis writes all of them.
Decision: Fix visuals first
Why: The bag is sharp and fully in frame; the grass is the only problem. Move this shot into a clean scene in Photo Studio before listing — no reshoot needed.

Common questions
Can I generate an Etsy listing from just a photo?
Yes. A phone photo is enough. Growtsy identifies the product, searches Etsy for it and writes the title, tags and description from what it sees and what the live search shows. It won’t invent a size or measurement — a photo alone can’t show true size — so add those yourself before you publish.
Is the Etsy listing generator free?

Will it copy my competitors’ titles?
No. It reads competitor titles to see which words buyers already meet in search, then checks its own title and description for runs of four or more words copied from them and rewrites them when the overlap is high.
How is this different from Etsy’s own title suggestions?
Etsy offers an optional tool that suggests a rewritten title. Growtsy writes the title, all 13 tags and the description together, against the live search for your product, and tells you when the photo — not the words — is what needs work.
Does it estimate how much my listing will sell?
