Etsy listing checker
Paste the link to any Etsy listing. The title, all 13 tag slots, the photos, video and renewal setting are read straight from Etsy’s own API and checked against the limits Etsy publishes — then you get one decision: what to fix first, or that there is nothing to fix. Free, no signup, nothing to copy across by hand.
This checks structure against Etsy’s rules. Growtsy’s Listing Analysis reads live Etsy market data for the same listing and returns one decision — Publish now, Improve, Fix visuals first, Reprice or Wrong niche — with the exact title and tags to use. Free account, no card; your link carries over.

What it checks — and where each rule comes from
Every limit below is Etsy’s own, quoted from Etsy’s help pages. Where Etsy publishes no number, this page does not invent one.
- Title.
A listing's title can be up to 140 characters long.
andClearly state what the item is and any key details. Avoid repetition as well as subjective words.
(How to Create a Listing). The checker looks at the opening a shopper sees on a phone, repetition, all-caps and decorative symbols — the same rules as the title checker. - Tags.
You can use up to 13 tags per listing
andEach tag can contain up to 20 characters.
Empty slots, duplicates, singular/plural twins and single-word tags are flagged — the same rules as the tag checker. - Photos and video.
You can add up to 20 photos and 2 videos
per listing. The first photo is measured againstYour first listing photo should have a width and height of at least 635 pixels to avoid showing up lower in searches

(Etsy’s image requirements). Sizes are the ones Etsy reports for the uploaded files — see Etsy photo size. - AI disclosure.
Sellers must disclose within their listing description if an item is created with the use of AI.
(Creativity Standards). The checker cannot know whether an item was made with AI, so this is never part of the decision: it only shows whether the description mentions AI, and quotes the sentence if it does — see Etsy’s AI rule. - Renewal. A listing runs for four months, then renews automatically or expires (Etsy’s renewal page). If auto-renew is off and the end date is within 30 days, the checker says so — see how long an Etsy listing lasts.
What it cannot tell you
Whether the listing is in the right market. A title can be well built and still target a phrase other sellers already crowd; thirteen valid tags can all point at a saturated corner; a sharp photo can show a product priced out of its category. Those answers need live Etsy market data — how many live listings compete for the same phrases, their prices, favorites and tags. That is what Growtsy’s Listing Analysis is for. This page reads one listing and nothing else, and it will not pretend otherwise. It also never estimates sales: Etsy’s API does not publish sales per listing, so any tool that shows them is guessing.
Common questions
Is this an Etsy SEO checker?
It checks the parts of Etsy SEO that Etsy publishes rules for: the title (140 characters, fewer than 15 words, no price or shipping, occasions in tags), all 13 tags of up to 20 characters, the photos and their size, the video and whether the listing renews — read from Etsy’s API for that one listing. It gives no score and promises no search position; it tells you the one thing to fix first. For every listing in a shop at once, use the free shop audit.
Is the Etsy listing checker free?
Yes, with no account. It reads public listing data through Etsy’s API, which costs nothing per check, so there is no catch to unlock. There is a daily limit per visitor to keep the API key healthy for everyone.
Can I check a competitor’s listing?
Yes. Any active public listing works — the checker only reads what Etsy already shows every shopper: title, tags, photos, video and the renewal setting.
Why does it say my listing was not found?
Etsy’s API returned nothing for that listing number, and Etsy does not say why. Check that the whole link was copied — it contains /listing/ followed by a number. Short etsy.me links cannot be read; open one and copy the full address instead. A listing that is inactive or expired is still returned, and the checker tells you it is not live.
Do you store the listing or my link?
No. The listing is read from Etsy when you press the button and the result is shown to you; nothing about it is saved. We count anonymously that the page was used and which decision it gave, with no link, no listing and no cookies, so we can tell whether the tool earns its place.
Can I see how many views or sales a listing has?
No one outside the shop can. Etsy’s API gives a listing’s favorites — “The number of users who marked this Listing a favorite.” — and the checker shows them, but it has no views or sales per listing. The one sales number Etsy publishes is the shop’s total, which the free shop sales checker reads.
Why no score out of 100?
Because a score does not tell you what to do. Two listings with the same score can need completely different fixes. The checker gives one decision and one action, in the order that matters most: a listing that is not live first, then the title, then empty tag slots, then the photos.
Structure is the easy half
A listing can pass every check here and still be the wrong product at the wrong price. Growtsy checks your listing against live Etsy market data and returns one decision — Publish now, Improve, Fix visuals first, Reprice or Wrong niche — with the exact wording to use.
