Etsy Share & Save: 4% back on orders from your own links
Join Share & Save and Etsy gives back 4% of the order total whenever a buyer orders within 30 days of clicking a link you shared — instantly, into your Payment account. It is money back on Etsy’s fees for buyers you bring yourself. Enter an order to see what it does to Etsy’s fees in your country, and what the same order costs if the buyer’s last click was an Etsy Offsite ad instead. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

How Share & Save works, in Etsy’s words
With Share & Save, you can save on Etsy fees when you drive your own traffic to your shop and listings.
Once you enroll in Share & Save, if a buyer places an order within 30 days of clicking a link you’ve shared, you get an instant refund of 4% off the eligible order total from your Etsy Payment account balance.
The 4% of the order total is calculated the same way as Etsy’s transaction fees. For example, if the buyer’s order, with shipping costs and/or gift wrapping services comes out to 100 dollars before taxes, a refund of 4 dollars is posted to your payment account.
The refund is processed instantly once the buyer completes the order.
Go to your Payment Account. Under Fees, you can see the amount of your Share & Save refund.
After you sign up, your shop link will continue to count towards Share & Save unless you choose to opt out.

From October 20 to January 4, all sellers enrolled in Share & Save will earn 6.5% back on eligible orders.
Etsy’s help page does not restate how the 6.5% is worked out, so the calculator applies it to the same order total as the 4%.

Which links count
After you opt in to Share & Save, links to your shop in the format of yourshopname.etsy.com are eligible for promotion.
Links to single listings, promo codes, reviews and shop sections can be shared as trackable links too. Two places do not count: Links sent to buyers through Etsy Messages or placed in listing descriptions will not count towards Share & Save benefits.
If you use a custom URL for your shop, you’ll have to set up domain forwarding to make sure your links are in the proper format for Share & Save.
Etsy’s own suggestions for where to put the link: social media posts and bios, business cards, marketing email lists, newsletters.
Share & Save or Offsite Ads: the last click decides
Orders are tracked based on the last link the buyer clicked before making a purchase. If a buyer last visits your shop from an Offsite ad before completing their order, it won’t be eligible for Share & Save.
On a $36.00 order sold from the United States, Etsy’s fees are $3.87 when the buyer finds you on Etsy, $2.43 when they come through your own link with Etsy’s standard 4% back ($1.53 with the holiday promotion’s 6.5%, 20 October 2026 to 4 January 2027), and $9.27 when their last click was an Offsite ad (15%). The same buyer, three different bills.
How to join
- From Shop Manager, go to Marketing.
- Select Share & Save.
- Select Join now.
You can rejoin Share & Save at any time.
But If you choose to deactivate Share & Save for several days and then reactivate it, clicks on your trackable links during that time will not result in orders that earn the Share & Save credit.

A $36.00 order (item and shipping, before tax). Fees come from the same dated table as the fee calculator, including any regulatory operating fee and the tax Etsy charges on its fees; the Offsite Ads column uses the 15% rate from the Offsite Ads calculator. The table uses Etsy’s standard 4%, not the holiday 6.5%.

What this calculator assumes
One item per order (one listing fee), no sales tax on the order, and the listing priced in your payment account currency. Etsy does not say whether the 4% carries any tax, so the calculator takes it as 4% of the order total, as Etsy’s example does. During the holiday promotion (20 October 2026 to 4 January 2027) it takes 6.5% of the same total.
