Free Etsy tools
Four checks that run entirely in your own browser: your title, your 13 tags, your photos, and what you actually keep after Etsy’s fees. No sign-up, no upload, no card. Each one ends with a verdict you can act on — not a score out of a hundred.
Free · no account · your listing never leaves your browser
The four tools
Every one of them is a single page that does one job. Nothing is saved, nothing is emailed to you, and you never see a paywall halfway through.
Title checker 140
Paste a listing title and see whether it survives Etsy’s 140-character limit, whether the opening — the part buyers actually read in search results — is doing any work, and whether it reads as keyword stuffing.
Tag checker 13 × 20
Paste all 13 tags at once. It tells you which ones Etsy will silently refuse to save because they run past 20 characters, which two tags cover the same ground, and how many of your 13 slots you are throwing away.
Photo checker 2000 px
Drop in a listing photo. You get the size and upload checks — and the part most sellers never see: exactly what Etsy’s square, portrait and landscape thumbnail crops cut off. The file is read locally and never uploaded.
Fee calculator 32
Every Etsy fee on its own line for 32 seller countries: the $0.20 listing fee, 6.5% transaction fee, your country’s payment processing, the regulatory operating fee where it applies, and VAT charged on the fees themselves.
The numbers these tools check
Etsy’s own stated limits, in one place. Each is quoted with its source on the listing limits page.
| What | The limit | Where it bites |
|---|---|---|
| Title length | 140 characters | Anything past 140 is cut. The opening is what shows in search results and on mobile. |
| Tags per listing | 13 | Unused slots are free reach you are not taking. |
| Characters per tag | 20 | A tag over 20 characters does not save — and Etsy does not always tell you loudly. |
| Photo minimum | 635 px | Below this on the first photo, the listing can rank lower in search. |
| Photo recommended | 2000 px+ | Shorter side. Zoom on desktop is where thin photos fall apart. |
| Listing fee | $0.20 | Charged per listing, every time it renews — not per sale. |
| Transaction fee | 6.5% | Of the order total including what the buyer paid for shipping. |
| Payment processing | By country | Changes with where your shop is registered — see all 32 countries. |

Questions
Are these really free?
Yes. There is no account, no trial, and no email gate on any of the four. They are static pages — the checks run in JavaScript in your own browser, so they cost us nothing per use. We build them because sellers who find us this way sometimes go on to use Growtsy, and that is the whole business case.
Does my listing or photo get uploaded anywhere?
No. The title checker, tag checker and photo checker all run locally. Your photo is read by the browser to measure it and is discarded when you close the tab — it is never sent to a server. The fee calculator does arithmetic on numbers you type; nothing is stored.
How current are the numbers?
The limits come from Etsy’s own help pages and are quoted with a link to each source on the listing limits page. The fee figures are dated on the fee page, which also says which date each country’s numbers were read. If Etsy changes something and we have not caught up, the date will tell you.
Do I need Growtsy to use them?
No, and nothing here nags you to sign up mid-task. Growtsy is the paid product for the work these pages cannot do — pulling real Etsy market data for a niche, rewriting a listing against it, and generating product photography. The free tools stand on their own.
What do these tools not do?
They do not estimate how much a listing earns, and they never will — Etsy does not publish per-listing sales, so anyone showing you that number is guessing. They also do not judge your niche or your pricing. They check the mechanical things that are objectively right or wrong.
When the checks pass and it still is not selling
That is the point where the mechanics are fine and the decision is the hard part. Growtsy pulls live Etsy market data for your niche and tells you what to do next — publish, fix the visuals, or pick a different angle.
