On physical items Etsy collects VAT or GST in Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK and the EU (mostly for goods shipped in from outside, under a value limit), plus PST or RST in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. On digital downloads it charges buyers in 29 places. Pick where your buyer is to see Etsy’s rule and the number that goes on the package. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
