About Growtsy
Growtsy is a decision engine for Etsy sellers. You give it a product idea, a photo or an existing listing; it reads live Etsy market data and answers one question — what should I do next? Publish now, improve first, fix the visuals, reposition the price, or pick a different niche. It is not a keyword database and it does not hand you a spreadsheet to interpret.
What it actually does
- Scout — validates a product idea before you make it. Pulls live Etsy market data (active listing counts, price distribution, tag frequency, favourites and review counts on leading listings, the age mix of top-ranked listings) and returns one decision with the single highest-leverage next action.
- Listing Analysis — paste an Etsy listing URL or upload a product photo; get an optimised title, 13 tags, a description and the specific fixes that matter.
- Photo Studio — turns one product photo into listing-ready scene and lifestyle images. Every generated image is checked by a separate pass against the original; images where the product identity drifted are flagged rather than quietly shipped.
- Trend Radar & Keyword Studio — trend and keyword discovery from the same Etsy data pipeline.
- Listing Calendar — timezone-aware publishing planner across 30 markets.
Free tier, then paid plans from $9/month. Payments run through Paddle as merchant of record, which handles VAT and local tax compliance.
What Growtsy refuses to do
These are deliberate product decisions, not missing features. They cost us in demos and we keep them anyway.
Honest scale
Growtsy is a small, new product. Here is the real size of it, because you should be able to weigh the advice against who is giving it.
| What | How much | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Listings analysed | 300+ | Production count, stated as a floor |
| Scout verdicts | 100+ | Products judged before they were made |
| AI photos generated | 200+ | Each checked against the original product |
| Free tools | 4 | No signup, nothing stored, arithmetic you can check |
| Customer reviews | 0 | And we will not manufacture any |
| Users | Low tens | New product, early. Said plainly rather than hidden |
The verifiable part is the free tools. Anyone can check the fee calculator against Etsy’s own fee schedule in about a minute. We would rather be checked than believed.
How we check our facts
- Primary sources only for anything about Etsy. Fee figures come from Etsy’s fees policy, its payment-processing table and its regulatory-operating-fee list — read directly, with the date recorded. If a claim only exists in a third-party blog, it does not go on this site.
- One dataset, many pages. The calculator, the crawlable 32-country table inside it and every country page are generated from the same figures, so they cannot quietly disagree with each other.
- Dates beat adjectives. Etsy prints a “last updated” stamp on its policy pages. That stamp is the fact; an article saying Etsy “just announced” something is not. We keep a dated, sourced log at Etsy fee & policy changes, including a section on what is currently being misreported.
- We say when we do not know. Etsy publishes no table of the tax it charges on its own fees, so those rates come from national VAT schedules and are labelled as such. Vietnam carries a regulatory operating fee but is absent from our calculator, because we could not verify how tax on fees applies there.
Who should not use Growtsy
Saying this costs us signups and it is still the right thing to publish.
- You want bulk keyword volume tables. Use eRank. It is cheaper at every tier and deeper at keyword research, and we say so on the comparison page.
- You want per-listing sales estimates. Use EverBee, and read that page first so you understand what those numbers actually are.
- You want Pinterest scheduling, email follow-ups and A/B tests in one suite. Alura is broader and cheaper.
- You have not listed anything yet and want to learn the basics. Read the free Etsy seller guide first. It costs nothing and you may not need a tool at all.
Common questions
What is Growtsy?
Growtsy is a decision engine for Etsy sellers. You give it a product idea, a photo or an existing listing URL, and it analyses that against live Etsy market data and returns one decision — publish now, improve first, fix the visuals, reposition the price, or pick a different niche. It also generates listing photography from a single product shot. It is not a keyword database; the point is the decision, not the data dump.
Is Growtsy affiliated with Etsy?
No. Growtsy is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Etsy, Inc. Etsy is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. Growtsy reads publicly available Etsy data and quotes Etsy's own published policies, with links to the source pages so you can verify them.
Why does Growtsy not show sales estimates like other Etsy tools?
Because Etsy does not publish them. Etsy shows lifetime sales per shop, and its public API exposes no per-listing sales volume. Any tool displaying a monthly revenue figure for a specific listing has modelled it from reviews, favourites and shop totals. That is an inference, not a measurement, and presenting it as a number implies a precision that does not exist. Growtsy describes demand qualitatively and labels it as directional.
Why are there no reviews or star ratings on the site?
Because Growtsy does not have any yet. It is a new product with a user base in the low tens. Showing an invented five-star average would be the fastest way to lose the one thing a small tool can offer, which is being straight with you. The numbers published instead — 300+ listings analysed, 100+ Scout verdicts, 200+ AI photos — are production counts stated as floors.
How much does Growtsy cost?
There is a free tier that needs no card, and paid plans start at $9 per month. Four tools are free to anyone with no signup at all: an Etsy fee calculator covering 32 seller countries, a title checker, a tag checker and a photo checker. Payments are processed by Paddle as merchant of record, which handles VAT and local tax compliance.
How do I know the fee numbers on this site are right?
Check them. Every fee figure is read directly from Etsy's own fees policy, payment-processing table and regulatory-operating-fee list, the date of the reading is printed on the page, and all three sources are linked. The calculator, its crawlable 32-country table and every country page are generated from one dataset, so they cannot disagree with each other. Dated changes are logged at growtsy.com/etsy-changes.
Try it on one product before you believe any of this
One Scout verdict, one full listing and three AI photos, free, no card. If the answer is not useful you have lost five minutes.
