Where does your Etsy listing rank for a search?
Paste your listing link and the phrase a shopper would type. The tool asks Etsy’s API for that search and shows where your listing sits among the first 100 active listings it returns, in relevance order — and whether each word of the phrase is in your title and tags. Free, no signup, no estimates.
A position is one fact about one search. Growtsy’s Listing Analysis reads live Etsy market data for this listing and returns one decision — Publish now, Improve, Fix visuals first, Reprice or Wrong niche — with the exact title and tags to use. Free account, no card; the link carries over.

The number is where your listing sits among the first 100 active listings Etsy’s API returns for the phrase, sorted by relevance (sort_on=score) — the same search the top shops tool and the niche checker read. Past 100 the tool says “not in the first 100”; it does not read further, so that is not the same as not showing up at all.
It is not a copy of anyone’s etsy.com screen. Etsy’s Search, advertisement and recommendation ranking policy (last updated Oct 16, 2025) lists what it ranks listings on:
relevancy, listing engagement rate, recency, listing and shop quality, customer service quality, shipping, translations and location and language, frequency capping, and context specific ranking
Relevancy is defined as how proximate keywords in a listings' tags, titles, descriptions, or attributes are relative to the search query.
Location and language, frequency capping and context specific ranking are on that list, so the order one shopper sees on etsy.com can differ from the order shown here. The tool checks the part it can read: whether the words of the phrase are in your title and tags. It does not read your description or attributes.
What this does not tell you
How many people search for the phrase. Etsy’s API gives no search counts; Etsy shows some search figures only to a seller, for their own shop, in Shop Manager. This page shows no search counts and no score.
Views or sales. Etsy’s API gives neither views nor sales per listing, so a position says nothing about how many shoppers saw or bought the item.
What to change to move. Etsy doesn’t publish what moves one listing up or down. The tool shows which words of the phrase are missing from the title and tags — add a word only if it describes the item.
Common questions
How do I check where my Etsy listing ranks?
Paste your listing’s link and the search phrase above. The tool asks Etsy’s API for the first 100 active listings for that phrase, in relevance order, and shows your listing’s position among them — or says it is not in the first 100.
Is this the order shoppers see on etsy.com?
Not necessarily. Etsy lists translations and location and language, frequency capping, and context specific ranking among its ranking factors, so the order one shopper sees can differ. The position here is the order Etsy’s API returns for the phrase, read at the time shown with the result.
Why isn’t my listing in the first 100?
Etsy doesn’t say for a single listing. Its policy defines relevancy by how close the keywords in a listing’s tags, titles, descriptions or attributes are to the search, so the tool checks whether each word of the phrase is in your title and tags. Etsy also ranks on engagement, recency, quality, customer service and shipping, which this tool can’t see.
Can I check a whole shop?
Yes. Choose “or your shop name” and the tool shows which of the shop’s listings are in the first 100 for the phrase, and the highest position. To check every listing in the shop against Etsy’s rules, use the shop audit.
Does it show how many people search for the phrase, or my sales?
No. Etsy’s API gives no search counts and no views or sales per listing; Etsy shows some search figures only to a seller in Shop Manager. This page shows positions from Etsy’s API and nothing estimated.
Do you store what I check?
Nothing is tied to you. The order Etsy’s API returns for a phrase is kept for up to 12 hours, shared with the top shops tool, so a repeat check doesn’t ask Etsy again; the time it was read is shown with the result. We count anonymously that the page was used and which kind of result it gave.
