Etsy’s marketplace: the 2025 Form 10-K
Etsy reports where its gross merchandise sales (GMS) come from in its annual report to the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The 2025 report says 74% came from US buyers; Etsy defines a US buyer by the shipping address: “U.S. buyer GMS is GMS from transactions in which the shipping address entered by the buyer at the time of sale is in the U.S., net of refunds.”

Etsy fees: what every seller pays
Every Etsy sale carries a $0.20 listing fee and a 6.5% transaction fee. Payment processing depends on the country the shop is based in.
