Etsy pricing calculator
Tell it what one item costs you and the profit you want. It gives you the price to list at so that profit survives every Etsy fee in your seller country. No signup, and the numbers you enter never leave your browser.
Etsy sets the fees; the listing is the part you control. Growtsy’s Listing Analysis reads one of your listings against live Etsy data and tells you the one thing to change first. Free account, no card.

How the price is worked out
Etsy takes two kinds of fee from an order. Fixed fees are the same whatever you charge: the listing fee and the flat part of payment processing. Percentage fees grow with the order: the transaction fee, the percentage part of payment processing, and the regulatory operating fee in the countries that have one. In VAT countries Etsy also charges VAT on its own fees, which scales both kinds.
Every percentage fee is charged on the item price plus the shipping you charge. So the order total you need is your profit, your cost and the fixed fees, divided by what is left after the percentage fees. Take away the shipping you charge and you have the item price. The calculator rounds up to the cent, so the target is never missed by a rounding error.
The break-even price is the same sum with a profit of zero: list below it and every sale costs you money.
Same product, same profit, different price
A worked example so the arithmetic is checkable without touching the calculator: an item that costs $8.00 to make and post, $6.00 shipping charged, and $15.00 of profit wanted on every sale. Sorted by the price you would need. The fee rates are the same table the fee calculator uses, where each one is sourced and dated.

| Hungary | $22.16 | $5.16 | 18.3% |
| Turkey | $22.63 | $5.63 | 19.7% |
The product, the cost and the profit are identical in every row. A seller in United States can list at $19.92; a seller in Turkey needs $22.63 for the same $15.00. The whole gap is Etsy’s fees for that seller country — mostly local payment processing rates, the regulatory operating fee and VAT charged on fees.
What this calculator cannot tell you
Whether buyers will pay it. This page gives you the floor that your costs and Etsy’s fees set. Where similar items actually sell is a market question, and it can only be answered by looking at the market.
Ads and currency. Etsy Ads and Offsite Ads are left out on purpose — ads spend is a budget you choose, not a fee on every order. To see whether an Offsite Ads order still pays at your price, use the Offsite Ads calculator. If you are paid out in a currency other than USD, your bank or payment provider adds its own spread on top; that is outside Etsy and varies by provider.
Common questions
How do I work out what to charge on Etsy?
Add the profit you want to your cost per item and to Etsy's fixed fees (the listing fee and the flat part of payment processing, plus VAT on them where it applies). Divide by one minus Etsy's percentage fees (transaction, payment processing and any regulatory fee, plus VAT on them). That gives the order total you need; subtract the shipping you charge and you have the item price. The calculator above does exactly this for your seller country and rounds up to the cent so the target is never missed.
Should I build shipping into the item price or charge it separately?
For fees it makes no difference. Etsy's transaction fee and payment processing are charged on the item price plus the shipping you charge, so a $30 item with $6 shipping and a $36 item with free shipping pay the same fees (payment processing is also taken from any sales tax the buyer is charged, in both cases alike). Whether buyers respond better to one or the other is a market question, not an arithmetic one.
Why does the same product need a different price in different countries?
Because Etsy's fees differ by seller country: payment processing rates and flat fees vary, some countries add a regulatory operating fee, and VAT countries charge VAT on Etsy's own fees. The table on this page shows the effect on one identical product.
Does this include Etsy Ads or Offsite Ads?
No, on purpose. Ads spend is a budget you choose, and Offsite Ads only applies to orders that came from an Etsy-bought ad, so folding either into every sale would overstate your fees. Use the Etsy Ads calculator and the Offsite Ads calculator for those.
Do you store what I type?
No. The whole calculation runs in your browser. The numbers you type never leave it, and there is no account. We do count anonymously that this page was opened and used, so we can tell whether it earns its place; that count carries no content and no cookies.
