Etsy shop audit
Paste your shop link. Every active listing — up to the first 100 — is read from Etsy’s own API and run through the same checks as the listing checker: the title, all 13 tag slots, photo count and size, video and renewal. You get one shop-wide decision on what to fix first, and each listing it read sorted by what it needs. Free, no signup.
Start with this listing
Fix it in Listing Analysis →- Its link is filled in for you. Listing Analysis reads live Etsy market data for it and returns one decision — Publish now, Improve, Fix visuals first, Reprice or Wrong niche — with the exact title and tags to use.
- Your dashboard offers to add this shop. Each listing’s first fix (up to 100) is checked again there against the same Etsy rules — no credits used.
- Free account, no card. It includes 1 Listing Analysis — once, not every month.
What the audit checks
The same rules as the listing checker, applied to each active listing it reads (up to 100). Each limit is Etsy’s own, quoted on the listing limits page:
- Titles — the 140-character limit, the opening a shopper sees on a phone, repetition, all-caps, decoration and the subjective words Etsy asks sellers to avoid (
for example, ‘perfect’
). - Tags —
You can use up to 13 tags per listing
, each up to 20 characters. Empty slots, duplicates and single-word tags. - Photos and video — up to 20 photos and 2 videos per listing; the first photo against the 635-pixel floor Etsy sets for search, every photo against the 2000 pixels Etsy recommends.
- Renewal — listings with auto-renew off that end within 30 days.
The shop decision is the first problem in that order that any listing has, with how many listings have it. A listing that is fine on structure is marked as such; the audit does not invent a reason to change it.
What it cannot tell you
Which products to make more of, or what to price them at. Those answers need live Etsy listing data — how many listings compete, their prices, favorites and tags — and that is what Growtsy’s Listing Analysis and Scout are for. The audit never estimates sales: Etsy’s API does not publish sales per listing.
Common questions
Is this an Etsy SEO audit?
It is an audit of the parts of Etsy SEO that Etsy publishes rules for, across the first 100 active listings: titles, empty tag slots and tag rules, photo count and size, and renewals — each listing read from Etsy’s API and checked with the same rules as the listing checker. It gives no score and promises no search position; it tells you which problem to fix first and on how many listings.
Is the Etsy shop audit free?
Yes, with no account. It reads public shop and listing data through Etsy’s API, which costs nothing per audit. There is a daily limit per visitor to keep the API key healthy for everyone.
How many listings does it check?
The first 100 active listings Etsy returns for the shop. If the shop has more, the result says how many were checked out of how many are active.
Can I audit a competitor’s shop?
Yes. Any public shop works — the audit only reads what Etsy already shows every shopper.
Why does it say the shop was not found?
The shop name has to match exactly. Copy it from the shop page address — the part after /shop/ — or paste the whole link.
Do you store my shop or listings?
No. The shop is read from Etsy when you press the button and the result is shown to you; nothing about it is saved. We count anonymously that the page was used and which shop-wide decision it gave, with no shop name and no cookies.
Fixing structure is the start
Once every listing passes, the question becomes which ones deserve your time. Growtsy reads live Etsy market data for each listing and returns one decision — Publish now, Improve, Fix visuals first, Reprice or Wrong niche — with the exact wording to use.
