One search of Etsy’s Open API for your phrase: the first 100 active listings in Etsy’s relevance order, the same search the free niche checker and top shops tool read. Those listings are then sorted by one field Etsy returns for each of them:
- Favorites —
The number of users who marked this Listing a favorite.
It counts everyone who has ever favorited the listing, so an older listing has had longer to collect them; the year it was listed is shown next to it. - Price — the listing price in the shop’s own currency, exactly as Etsy returns it. Nothing is converted.
Listings with no favorites are left out. Nothing is estimated or adjusted, and no AI writes any part of the result.
What this does not tell you
What sold. Etsy doesn’t publish sales per listing, in its API or anywhere else. A listing can be favorited many times and sell little, or the other way round. This page is not a best-seller list, and no page built on Etsy’s data can be.
Everything on Etsy. Only the first 100 results for your phrase are read, in the order Etsy’s API returns them. Etsy.com can show each shopper a different order.

What do shoppers favorite most on Etsy for a product?
Type the product as a buyer would search for it. The tool reads the first 100 active listings Etsy’s API returns for that search and ranks them by Etsy’s own favorite count for each listing, with its price and the year it was listed.
Does this show the best-selling items on Etsy?
No. Etsy doesn’t publish sales for individual listings, so any list of “best sellers” for a product is a guess. Favorites are the only per-listing number Etsy makes public about how shoppers react to a listing, and they are not sales.
Why does an old listing sit at the top?
Etsy’s favorite count is a lifetime total: everyone who has ever favorited the listing. A listing from years ago has had longer to collect favorites than one from last month. The year each listing was listed is shown so you can read the count fairly.
Can I see how many favorites my own listing has?

Do you store what I search?
Your phrase is sent to Etsy’s API and the result is shown to you. The same phrase’s result is kept for up to 12 hours so a repeat search doesn’t ask Etsy again; nothing is tied to you. We count anonymously that the page was used and which kind of result it gave.
